Plugin conflicts
Most WordPress sites run a dozen plugins, each with its own scripts. When an update breaks a menu, a slider or the checkout, the JavaScript error is logged with the visit it happened in, and you get an alert the first time it appears.

You need an administrator login for your WordPress site. No theme files to edit.
In your admin, go to Plugins → Add Plugin, search for WPCode, then install and activate it. Any header code plugin works.
Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer, paste your snippet into the Header box and click Save Changes.
Clear your caching plugin's cache if you use one, then click around. The first recording appears about ten seconds later.
While you are logged in and editing, your visits are recorded like anyone else's. Exclude your team by IP address or with a cookie.
Turn on consent mode and nothing is recorded until your cookie banner calls wsr.consent(true).
Passwords are always masked. Add the class wsr-block to anything else that should stay out, such as a customer's account details.

You do not need one of ours. Any plugin that adds code to your site's header works, and the free WPCode plugin is the one our guide uses. A developer can also print the snippet from the theme or a wp_head hook.
Yes. The snippet sits in the page header, so it does not matter how the page is built. Block themes, classic themes, Elementor, Divi and the rest all work the same way.

Yes. Turn on consent mode and nothing is recorded until your banner calls wsr.consent(true). Most consent plugins can run a line of code when a visitor accepts.
Yes. The Free plan records 1,000 visits a month you can replay, on up to 1 websites. It needs no card and does not expire.
